According to a new report in late June, cost of solar in the US is dropping much faster than expect due to the coronavirus. Over the next 5 years, home solar system costs will drop 17%, while commercial is expect to lower by 16% and utility-scale by 20%. As the economy is anticipated to drop by 4.9% this year due to the pandemic, the disruption has been bringing down electricity consumption and has resulted in some uncertainties about the future of power.
