Solar Magazine respects and values your privacy. This statement outlines our privacy policies. At www.solarmagazine.org we do not sell or trade email addresses collected on our website, nor do we maintain any credit card information.

We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email, phone, web form, or other direct contact from you. We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. None of the information that we collect is provided, in any way, to outside parties. Security measures are in place to protect against loss, alteration or misuse of collected data. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this Privacy Policy. Solar Magazine and its authorized dealers or affiliates can call, text or email you via automated technology and/or pre-recorded messages at the phone number you provided, regardless if the number provided is on the Do Not Call List.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
