The city of Madison, WI is launching a new program to assist low-income residents obtain the benefits of solar energy. “Backyard Solar” grants are used with the intent to bring solar to neighborhoods that were left out of the initial “solar boom.”  By involving the entire community in using renewable energy, it only furthers efforts to combat climate change.
